In the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea and the Aegean Sea regions, where numerous coastal states are present, cooperation between Türkiye and other countries is crucial to prevent various environmental issues such as climate change and marine pollution. In this context, Türkiye should collaborate with other countries for the protection of the marine environment through the Barcelona Convention and the Bucharest Convention and with bilateral agreements.
